VMess Protocol Configuration and Security Settings

Last Updated: June 20265 min read

What is VMess?

VMess is the original encryption protocol introduced by V2Ray. It relies on a client-server structure and time-synchronized cryptography token validation.
Ensure your computer clock is synchronized with internet time (within 90 seconds deviation) to avoid VMess handshaking failures.

Transport Layer Customization

VMess is often paired with WebSocket + TLS or gRPC for proxying through content delivery networks (CDNs). Adjust the path and Host header in the Transport settings tab.
